About the Section

The Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies was established in 2015 pursuant to the administrative order issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. TA/3938 on 12/30/2015. It is considered one of the modern trends in the specialty of medical sciences, especially medical laboratories. Graduates of preparatory studies in the biological scientific stream and technical institutes in the corresponding technical specializations are accepted into the department. The duration of study is four years. The graduate is awarded a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology, equivalent to the certificates granted in the specialty by the technical colleges in Board of Technical Education The duration of study is four years.
